Liz Clifford, Partner/Chef

It's no surprise that Liz Clifford found a calling in the culinary arts — in the  Maryland suburbs of DC she grew up making dinner for her family five to six nights a week. With a brief stint at a Liberal Arts college, Liz followed her heart and to Johnson & Wales — she’s been in the kitchen ever since. Experience in both front and back of house jobs, Liz has an impressive resume, including Hook, Hank’s Oyster Bar, Lia’s Restaurant, and most-recently Chef de Cuisine at Comfort in Richmond, VA. Liz is inspired by no-fuss Italian cooking; that is, taking quality ingredients and not over-complicating things.

Jon Martin, Partner/Chef

Jon Martin began his culinary career as a dishwasher, but once he got on the line, there was no looking back. Both invigorating and relaxing, Jon had found his zen place — in the kitchen. He’s spent most of his career in D.C. and the Virginia suburbs including positions at Bob Kincaid’s Colvin Run Tavern and The Caucus Room Brasserie, but he also spent time at the late Homaro Cantu’s Chicago restaurant, Moto. When Jon moved to Richmond in 2018, he landed a position with Pasture and then Julep’s, two Richmond-area Southern staples. If he’s trying to impress you, he’ll either think wildly outside of the box, or keep it ridiculously simple.
